CHOCO MUCHO BLASTS CREAMLINE FOR FIRST TIME IN FIVE-SET THRILLLER

MANILA, Philippines: The Choco Mucho Flying Titans proved to be sweeter this time after winning against their sister team Creamline Cool Smashers in a cardiac five setter match, 13-25, 19-25, 25-21, 25-20, 18-16, in the semifinals of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024 All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Tuesday, April 30.

This is the first time since 2019 that Choco Mucho won against Creamline, snapping their 12-game skid.

Player of the game Sisi Rondina led her squad with 23 points built on 21 attacks, a block and an ace.

Royse Tubino added 20 markers, while Isa Molde chimed in 12 points.

"Well, I am out of words since this is our first time winning against Creamline. I am thankful with our performance and I am grateful for our team work. I am just really thankful for our win today," coach Dante Alinsunurin told the press after the game.

Jema Galanza and Alyssa Valdez scored 23 and 21 points, respectively, but it was not enough to outlast Choco Mucho.

Creamline will next face the Petro Gazz Angels, while Choco Mucho will battle Chery Tiggo on Thursday, May 2, at the same venue.
