RAIN OR SHINE SENDS ROOKIE GALINATO, PONFERADA TO TNT

Rain or Shine formalized its trade with TNT after agreeing to send rookie big man Henry Galinato and veteran Jewel Ponferada in exchange for the Tropang Giga's future first round pick and Dave Marcelo.

The proposed trade deal has been sent to the Office of the Commissioner for approval on Thursday, September 21.

TNT coach Jojo Lastimosa confirmed the deal to the Manila Times, which was an updated version since the team previously had a pre-draft agreement with Rain or Shine.

Based on the original negotiation, Rain or Shine will send Galinato, the team's second round selection (15th overall) to TNT in exchange for the Tropang Giga's first round pick.

"It's a done deal," said Lastimosa, referring to the new arrangement.

Rain or Shine has been one of the busiest teams on draft day, having selected former University of the East standout Luis Villegas at No. 3 followed by Filipino-American Keith Datu at No. 4 in the first round.

Villegas and Datu, who are listed at 6-foot-7, have signed separate three-year rookie deals with Rain or Shine early this week.
