Premier Boxing Champions has officially announced the undisputed welterweight championship between two unbeaten fighters Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford on July 29 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, USA.
The highly-anticipated matchup between the WBC, WBA, and IBF world welterweight champion Spence and the WBO world welterweight champion Crawford is the biggest fight that can be made in the 147-pound division. It will air on Showtime Boxing pay-per-view.
"I'm truly excited to be a part of the biggest fight in boxing and the best welterweight matchup of the century. Terence Crawford is a great fighter and our styles are going to make for a great fight," said Spence, who holds a record of 28-0 with 22 knockouts.
"I told him and the world what I was going to do after I captured my first welterweight title and it's been strap season ever since. On July 29, I'm going to put on a tremendous performance and become the undisputed king of the welterweight division."
Terence (39-0, 30KOs), meanwhile, had a few things to say surrounding the fight as he sets his sights on carving his name in boxing history by becoming a two-time undisputed world champion.
"The fans and I have both wanted this fight for years and now it is finally happening. This truly is a once in a generation fight. On July 29, I look forward to making history and becoming a two-time undisputed champion of the world."
