WHEN Jordan Heading was playing for Converge in the PBA Commissioner's Cup, he had a remarkable campaign where he was in the hunt for the Best Player of the Conference.
He has no intention of producing the same kind of numbers at TNT as he is out to help out in any way he can to the championship squad.
"I just need to come in and do my role and try to complement these guys, make their life just a little bit easier so that they can produce even more," Heading said.
In his first few days with TNT after that blockbuster trade with Mikey Williams, Heading is already looking at fast tracking everything – from learning the system to getting healthy – in order to contribute at the soonest possible time with the Tropang 5G aiming for another championship that would give them the Grand Slam.
"I’ll do what I can do, hopefully get in game shape as soon as possible, hopefully, to get healthy as soon as possible. Whatever I can do to help them achieve that (Grand Slam), I’m going to try and do. It’s just an exciting prospect that it is a possibility," said Heading.
Based from the past days, Heading feels like it is going to be a smooth transition for him with TNT with the team’s culture and desire of winning championships.
"That was really fun, just getting back out there and getting acquainted with the guys and getting acquainted with the offense and defensive schemes. I think it’s going to be a pretty seamless fit in terms of them already having an identity and culture that obviously wins championships. So I don’t need to come in here and try to change anything," he said.

Heading’s return from back spasms remain in doubt although it could soon come as he is already part of the active roster since last Friday.
The former Gilas cadet was at the sidelines when TNT defeated Blackwater, 108-82, where he got a pretty good idea of what is expected of the players on the floor.
"The energy was great. Defensively, I thought the pressure was fantastic. You can feel the energy coming from the bench, and seeing that out on the floor, guys diving for loose balls. It was good to see," said the 29-year-old Heading.
