BOLICK SAYS HE'LL WAIT FOR GILAS CALL, IF ANY, BEFORE LEAVING FOR JAPAN

ROBERT Bolick remains fully committed to Gilas Pilipinas after accepting an offer to play in the Japan B.League second division.

Bolick assured he will say yes if his number is called, especially in the coming months as Gilas Pilipinas gears up for the Fiba Basketball World Cup.

Bolick could be in line for a second straight World Cup appearance after being part of the Yeng Guiao-coached squad in 2019 in Foshan, China.

The now Fukishima Firedragons import said he doesn’t plan on leaving for Japan to join his team until he learns if he will be called to participate in Gilas practice which will start on June 7.

Suporta naman sila," said Bolick, who will have his church wedding with wife Cassandra this month.

The 27-year-old Bolick played two games with Gilas in the Fiba Basketball World Cup Asian qualifiers. He averaged 10 points and 2.5 rebounds during the February 2022 window where they played India and New Zealand.

Bolick said he will support Gilas even if he isn’t called for duty.

At the end of the day, Pilipino naman tayo lahat. Suportahan na lang natin. Wag na tayong magdagdag sa iisipin nila," said Bolick.
