VINTAGE VALDEZ SHOWS UP, PROPELS CREAMLINE TO VICTORY OVER AKARI IN FOUR SETS

MANILA, Philippines — Creamline delighted its fans in Vigan City after winning in a four-set fashion, 27-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-18 to take a 2-0 win-loss card in the 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) On Tour on Monday night, June 23, at the Chavit Coliseum.

Alyssa Valdez proved once more on why she is the country's volleyball icon after leading her squad with 16 points on 13 attacks, two aces, and a block.

Akari tied the set at 1-1, but Creamline got its groove back in the third and fourth frames to achieve two consecutive wins.

In the third set, the Cool Smashers trailed away early with a 20-12 advantage, capped by Sheena Toring's loaded quick.

The Chargers pulled a 3-0 run, attempting to force a five-setter. But Valdez and Galanza chimed their forces to allow Creamline for a 4-2 run down the stretch.

With Grethcel Soltones putting up the fight for Akari, 24-18, as she said not yet after slamming a kill, the game ended with a successful challenge of Creamline on Chenie Tagaod's floor touch.
